Bug Resolution
Linguistic tester checks if there are any resolved legacy bugs assigned to them in Bugnet (opened and/or resolved bugs assigned to “JTE_TEST_XYZ”, where XYZ stands for a 3-letter language code). If there are any, the tester needs to check the resolution and take one of the following actions, based on the resolution:
fixed:
a. if the bug is fixed on a new screenshot from the actual CLT drop, add a comment “verified fixed in [name of a CLT drop]” and set the bug’s status to “closed”. (assignment should be automatically changed to “IssueAdmin” when the status is changed to “closed”)
b. if the bug still isn’t fixed on a new screenshot from the actual CLT drop, please add a comment “still not fixed in [name of a CLT drop]”, set the bug’s status to “opened” and reassigned it back to “JTE_ENG”.
by design: check why the bug was resolved as “by design” and set the status to “closed”. This is for you only to acknowledge this resolution and for your future refence.
duplicate: check why the bug was resolved as “duplicate” and set the status to “closed”. This is for you only to acknowledge this resolution and for your future refence.
external: there shouldn’t be any bug resolved as “external”. All “external” bugs must be assigned to “Tableau Technical Issue” for further investigation on Tableau side. In case of bug assigned to use with “external” resolution, please reassigned it to JTE_ENG.
not repro: check why the bug was resolved as “not repro” and set the status to “closed”. This is for you only to acknowledge this resolution and for your future refence.
postponed: there is an ongoing investigation of the reported bug on Tableau side and it will need more time to get it fixed, usually by other team than the localization team we work with. In case of bug assigned to use with “external” resolution, please reassigned it to JTE_ENG.
won’t fix: check why the bug was resolved as “won’t fix” and set the status to “closed”. This is for you only to acknowledge this resolution and for your future refence.
Please make sure to check the resolution and comments, so in case the bug was a false positive that shouldn’t be reported, you can make sure you don’t report it again in the future.
Screenshot below indicates how to filter out bugs assigned to you.
Log in to Bugnet (🔗http://bugnet.jonckers.com/Issues/IssueList.aspx?pid=81)
Go to the Filters tab
Then press Add Clause
Adjust the clauses as indicated in the screenshot (usually your username)
Press Perform Filter
6. Check each filtered bug:
If a bug is really fixed on the screenshots from the actual CLT HO, please close the bug (change status to “closed”):
If a bug persists on the screenshots from the actual CLT HO, please re-open the bug (change status to “opened”) and assign it to JTE_ENG:
